# validityBase (vBase)

> validityBase creates independently verifiable point-in-time records for predictive data, trading signals, investment strategies, models, and other digital information without requiring the underlying data to be disclosed.

vBase uses cryptographic commitments and public blockchain timestamps to establish when information existed, whether it has subsequently changed, and whether a presented history corresponds to the previously recorded history. For technical implementation details, prefer docs.vbase.com.
